SENIOR SHOW — where we take off
As a culmination of their education, all senior art department students presented their capstone projects for their peers, professors, and public. Each of these students probably started creating and constructing as children. Once folding up simple paper airplanes, they are now trying to throw out their best airplane yet, after a life of learning.
The advertising collateral I created represents an expression of each graduating student through a photo and the excitement we share through an energetic style. Bright, playful, interesting, even a bit overwhelming, these visuals grab attention with the colors and complexity of background details. Because there are several layers of elements, viewers are drawn in. The fun airplanes and faces will be a joyful encounter. It seeks to leave viewers with excitement about where each of these students are going.
Explorations — the paper airplane motif provided so many possibilities to play with the grid of the fold lines, steps in the process, and paper vs digital.
